Bulletin – Week of February 19, 2017

Let us prepare ourselves for spiritual growth.  Welcome to worship on this Lord’s Day.

Message: Issues of the Heart

Scripture:  Jonah 3:10-4:3

Offering: Outreach Fund

Prayer Requests:

This week we are asked to pray for Bill Brewster, Bud and Lorraine Brouwer, Marlene Butenschoen, Mike and Diane Button, Mike and Geralyn Cunningham and their children. Suggestions for prayers would be for their spiritual growth, opportunities to see Christ in their everyday life, and anything else that God puts on your mind for them.

Lee & Arlene Veenstra will be volunteering with World Renew Disaster Response Services from February 22–March 18 in San Marcos, TX due to flooding in May & October, 2015. Please support them with your prayers while they are on this assignment. Pray for safety, good health, a meaningful experience with opportunities to touch and give hope to hurting people in this relief ministry. The church office has their address if you want to drop them a note while they are gone.

Please keep Tricia Bravener’s friend Dorothy, her sister Connie and their family in your prayers. Connie’s husband Erich jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge. Please pray for strength, peace, and wisdom for the whole family.

Announcements:

This morning our Youth Worship Team will be leading us in worship.

Our sermon next Sunday will be “The God Who Seeks and Saves The Lost” based on Jonah 4:4-11. Everyone is encouraged to prepare their heart for the message. The monthly sermon topics with scriptures are listed each month in the Heartbeat.

The church secretary will be on vacation the week of March 13th and help is needed to cover the office while Terry is gone. If you are available and can come in for a few hours or would be willing to work in the office, please contact Terry at 733-6177.

Do you have medical equipment you would be willing to loan to your church family? Our “Faith Community Nurse” (Alice Brakke), is putting together a list of items such as crutches, shower seats, walkers, etc., that may be borrowed by those recovering from surgery. Please let Alice or the office know what medical equipment you are willing to loan out. If you are having surgery in the near future and need to borrow any items to help in your recovery, contact the office or Alice.
