This Easter Sunday is indeed the day that the Lord has made. Let us all rejoice together as we

Prayer Requests:

This week we are asked to pray for Scott and Jen Roberts and their children, Mark and Rockelle Ruiter and their children, Doug and Jan Scholten, Joanne Schultz, Vicki Seim. Suggestions for prayers would be for their spiritual growth, opportunities to see Christ in their everyday life, and anything else that God puts on your mind for them.

We pray for the Koning Family as they travel to China tomorrow, April 17, to meet their new son/brother Zachariah.

Dale and Deloris Perry are in need of continued prayers. Dale is having health issues and is currently unable to attend church.

Sarah and Bryn had their baby on Friday. His name is Weston Robert. Weighing in at 10#1oz, 22″ long. Sarah had him by C-section and everyone is doing fine. Happy grandparents Mike and Diane Button

Everyone is invited to place their flowers on the cross during the singing that follows the time of greeting one another.

The Lord’s Supper, which we celebrate today, is a way for the Christian to remember the sacrifice of Christ. If you have not yet believed in Christ as Savior, we invite you to watch and learn. We are glad you are here! If you have questions about Jesus, please see Pastor Scott after the worship service. The bread we use is allergen free and contains no wheat, dairy, nuts or soy. However, it may contain egg.

Our sermon next Sunday will be “Ordinary Men Doing Extraordinary Things” based on 1Kings 17:1-7. Everyone is encouraged to prepare their heart for the message. The monthly sermon topics with scripture are listed each month in the Heartbeat.

Next Sunday is Friendship Sunday. The students and teachers will be greeting and ushering before the service.

Plan to join the church family on April 30 for a potluck lunch following Sunday school. Families whose last name begins with the letter A-P are asked to bring a salad, and those from S-Z are asked to bring a dessert. Hospitality will be serving shredded pork sandwiches. Donations of pop and chips are always welcome. Don’t forget to bring your plate and silverware.

The Board of Northwest Hispanic Ministry invites you to a free dinner and a time to rejoice as Joe Strong shares how God is changing lives and building His kingdom here in Western Washington. The banquet location for Saturday, April 29th at 5:30 p.m. at Third Christian Reformed Church in Lynden.

Building and Maintenance Team has scheduled our annual campus cleanup for May 13. A free breakfast will be served from 8-9 am with the yard work to begin around 9. If the weather is against us that morning, we will reschedule to the following Saturday, May 20.

We will not be having Sunday school or Children and Worship today.

The Deacons are accepting donations for the “home mission” remodel of the Administration Building. The team is hoping to do all the remodeling for under $5,000. The Deacons request that you designate on your check that your donation is for this fund.

Today’s offering will be taken for the outreach fund. Next week’s offering will be for the general fund.

Jen Roberts is collecting good items for a garage sale to be held in our sanctuary on June 2-3 to help raise money for their adoption of a little boy from China. You may bring your clean saleable items now and store them in portable “C.” Please do not put anything in the youth portable.

The Dunamis Project is being held this year April 20-22 at Birchwood Presbyterian Church. For more information pick up a flyer from the information stand in the foyer.

Mosaic Church is helping a family whose home was damaged by fire. Join their members on April 22 or 23 to work on the home located at 2284 Yew St. Road, They plan to work from 8am-5pm, so come for a few hours any time on either day. Any volunteers to organize a group from our church to participate?

The Kings Men of Song will be performing in our sanctuary on April 30. Come at 6:30 for a time of cookies, coffee and fellowship; the concert is to begin at 7pm and a free will offering will be taken on behalf of the Lighthouse Mission.

Join the Evergreen 3 for a night of worship with special guest Jason Runnels on April 28 at 7 p.m. at Nooksack Valley Reformed, 602 E. Second St., Nooksack. Runnels is a Gospel singer who starred with the popular Down East Boys before starting a solo career. There will be a freewill offering and refreshments following. For more information, call Donna at 966-5165.

Terry Vander Woude is collecting egg cartons. Please only bring her the size that holds a dozen eggs.
