—MISSIONAL MARKER—

The congregation of Hope in Christ Church has made the Spirit-filled decision to move forward and become a healthy missional church.

This week’s Missional Marker is:   Intentional Evangelism (Matthew 28:18-20)

  • We are burdened for the spiritual condition of those who do not yet know Christ.
  • We have identifiable pathways for evangelism to take place in our ministries.
  • Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to build spiritual friendships and know how to share their faith as God-birthed opportunities arise.

— PRAYERS —

Each week we pray for members of our church family. Suggested prayers are for their spiritual growth, opportunities to see Christ in their everyday lives, and anything else that God puts on your mind for them.

This week please pray for:

Sissy

Chuck

Mike & Geralyn and children:  Josiah, Abigail, Bethany, Aleya, Emma, Nathanael

Mike & Diane, (Diane’s mission trip has begun!)

And “Thank You!” from Karen F. She appreciates all the cards she received, and prayers spoken on her behalf following her surgery last week.

Providing Warmth to Neighbors in Need: Interfaith Coalition’s annual Winter Warmth drive provides warm outerwear for everyone from  babies to seniors. Please bring clean, gently used or new winter coats and jackets, gloves, scarves and hats to worship services through October 15. Interfaith will distribute these to people in four locations across Whatcom County. If you are a knitter, handmade hats and scarves are also cherished. For many of our neighbors, this program means they won’t need to spend limited income on a winter coat, or do without. Thank you for sharing the warmth!

Special Offering for Hurricane Relief: On Oct 1 the deacons will be taking two offerings during the service. The first offering will be for the general fund, the second offering will be taken on behalf of World Renew to be used for those affected by the recent hurricanes.
