MISSIONAL MARKER

The congregation of Hope in Christ Church has made the Spirit-filled decision to move forward and become a healthy missional church. This Week’s Marker: Global Perspective and Engagement (Acts 1:8)

  • We raise the sights of our members beyond our congregation and community by developing a Biblical worldview and often pray for and reference global matters.
  • We have identifiable pathways to support the cause of Christ globally.
  • Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to participate in the global dimensions of our ministry.

PRAYERS

Each week we pray for members of our church family. Suggested prayers are for their spiritual growth, opportunities to see Christ in their everyday lives, and anything else that God puts on your mind for them.  This week please pray for:

  • Paulino & Georgi
  •  Darryl & Gloria
  • Jessie F
  • Scott E
  • Denise

Friendship Class: Praise and thank God for the work He has done in our Friendship Class this year. He has provided leaders, materials, a place, transportation, and everything else needed to shepherd and teach Friendship students.  Pray for a joyful end-of-the-year celebration, followed by a restful summer break for all involved.  Ask Him to watch over the students and leaders through the summer, and to bring back each one that He wants to come when class resumes in the fall. Pray that God would continue to teach and lead them in their daily lives, and that they would seek Him in everything they do.

From CRC (World Renew: Bangladesh): Although news stories have subsided, the Rohingya refugee crisis continues in Bangladesh. Shelters in the refugee camp are constructed merely of bamboo and plastic wrap, raising concerns as the monsoon season approaches. In collaboration with partner agencies, World Renew continues to provide food within the camp. Ask God to protect and care for these refugees in Bangladesh.

SUNDAY SCHOOL MEMORY WORK

  •  Wonder Class:  Matthew 28:19-20
  • Marvel Class:  John 14:1
