If you have not yet believed in Christ as Savior, we invite you to watch and learn.  We are glad you are here! If you have questions about Jesus, please see Pastor Scott after the worship service.  The bread we use is allergen free and contains no wheat, dairy, nuts or soy. It may contain egg.

 Bible Reading for this Week

Joshua Currey will be delivering the sermon next week. The main scripture passage will be 1 Samuel 3:1-21.

Christian Reformed Church (CRC) Prayer Requests

(World Renew) Disaster Response (DRS)— In May, hundreds of tornadoes touched down across the central United States, causing severe damage in 13 states. In response, World Renew is busy assessing needs and planning for cleanup, repairs, and reconstruction. Ask God to provide wisdom for staff and volunteers as they minister to people affected by the storms.

(Back to God Ministries) Burkina Faso— Our French ministry team in Burkina Faso reports an increased level of attacks on Christian churches in the country, leaving church leaders and families displaced. “Brothers and sisters, support them in prayer as they certainly need your spiritual support,” shares Rev. Marc Nabie, French ministry coordinator.

(Chaplaincy and Care) Workplaces—A growing number of our chaplains work in the industrial or corporate world, serving the needs of employees affected by crises at home or work who may not have a spiritual support network. Interacting with employees in their own environment requires unique communication and relationship skills. Please pray for these chaplains and the people they serve.

MISSIONAL MARKER

The congregation of Hope in Christ Church has made the Spirit-filled decision to move forward and become a healthy missional church. This week’s Missional Marker is Heartfelt worship (Psalm 138:1a; John 4:23)

  • We exalt and celebrate God for who he is, what he has done, what he is doing and what he will do.
  • Worship reflects careful preparation to help give voice to many dimensions of response to God such as adoration, praise, contrition, lament, and commitment.
  • People leave worship knowing something more about the heart of God and about their own hearts.
