 - Every person who wants to see the church reformed in his/her day must not forget these 3 things (1Ki 17:1)
- Declaring who God is
 - Challenging the Idolatry of the day
 - Believing in the Power of Prayer
 
 - Who is Elijah’s God
- The God of Israel
- This is a Covenantal name for God. (Gen 17:7, Dt 10:16, Eph 2:12, Heb 7:22, 8:7-10)
 
 - The Living God (Is 2:8, Prov 16:33, Gen 21:17, Ex 2:24, Jonah 3:10, Ps 53:2, Lk 16:15)
 - Sovereign God who uses nature for his purposes
 
 - The God of Israel
 - Challenging the Idolatry of the Day
- Who was Baal?
 - Applying the Word of God to the present situation in a most dramatic way (Dt 11:16-17, Heb 4:12, Rom 4:17)
 - How did the idolatry get here?
- People didn’t eradicate all the inhabitants of the land (Num 33:51-56)
 - Marriage (1Ki 11:4, 16:31-32)
 
 
 - Believe in the Power of Prayer (Jam 5:16-20)
