We are a Council led Congregation, currently made up of 5 elders, 5 deacons and a senior pastor. The Elders oversee the doctrine and life of our members, while the deacons help us to engage in meaningful ministry to the needs of our body and our world.
Additionally, we are a covenantally reformed congregation connected to the Christian Reformed Church of North America (CRCNA). This means that our elders, deacons, and pastor covenant together to encourage and support one another and to hold each other accountable to faithful lives that honor and glorify God.
In order for this support, encouragement and accountability to occur, we participate in the CRCNA Classis North Cascades, which is our regional gathering of sister congregations in Whatcom County. Two to four times each year we send 2 or more delegates to meet and discuss ministry issues relevant to our churches, to examine candidates for ordination, and to provide help to one another as needed.
