Welcome to Hope in Christ Church! We are so glad you have joined us today. After the service, we invite you to stay for refreshments and fellowship. Sunday School begins at 11:00 for adults and children. There are various small groups that meet during the week. You are welcome to visit and find one that is right for you!

Guest Pastor Jason Hubbard’s sermon text next Sunday is Matthew 13:44-46, and the sermon title is “Treasure.” He encourages us to read or pray through Matthew 13 during this week in preparation.  Adult Sunday school members will be reading Chapters 9 and 10 of Moving Mountains at home during the week, and discussion and prayer will take place during the Sunday school hour.

Each week we pray for members of our church family. Suggested prayers are for their spiritual growth, opportunities to see Christ in their everyday lives, and anything else that God puts on your mind for them. This week please pray for:

  • George M
  • Deloris P
  • Chris P
  • Joe P
  • Bridger R
  • Debra R
  • Mona R

Pray for Christian Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh: YAGON, Burma (Morning Star News, March 11) – A rights group has confirmed reports that suspected Muslim, ethnic Rohingya beat and kidnapped Rohingya Christians on Jan. 26-27 in a refugee camp in Bangladesh.

At least 12 Rohingya Christians were hospitalized with injuries from an attack in Kutupalong refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar District on the evening of Jan. 26, according to a March 6 report from international human rights group Fortify Rights. Citing survivors who said they were attacked because the assailants thought the Christians were converting Muslims, Fortify Rights also documented the destruction of the Rohingya Christian refugees’ makeshift church building.

The congregation of Hope in Christ Church has made the Spirit-filled decision to move forward and become a healthy missional church. This week’s Missional Marker is:  Intentional Evangelism (Matthew 28:18-20)

  • We are burdened for the spiritual condition of those who do not yet know Christ.
  • We have identifiable pathways for evangelism to take place in our ministries.
  • Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to build spiritual friendships and  know how to share their faith as God-‐birthed opportunities arise.
