The Promised Helper

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. This is a great promise. (Jn 14:16)
               1. Love is the condition (Jn 14:21, 14:24, Lk 15:28-32)
               2. His love empowers our love (1Jn 4:19)
            2. The Helper – the paraclete (Jn 14:26, 15:26, 16:8-11)
            3. The Spirit of Truth (Jn 14:17, 1:5, 7:7)
               1. Truth means it aligns with and matches ultimate reality.
               2. Godly Truth and the world are in opposition.
            4. The teaching ministry of the Spirit of Truth (Jn 14:26, Lk 12:11-12)
            5. I will not leave you as orphans… (Jn 14:18, 20)
            6. Peace is the Gift of God (Jn 14:27, 16:33, 20:19, 21, 26)
