               4. All – the text said all these people. (Judg 7:12)
            2. In Valley of Jezreel
            3.  Application:
               1. How often does it feel like there are enemies of God’s people everywhere you turn?
               2. So take heart, the same reality existed in Gideon’s day.

The Equipping of Gideon

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. The Spirit of the Lord (Judges 6:34)
            2. Fellow Covenant People (Judges 6:35, 7:24ff)
            3. Assurance via 2 Tests (Judges 6:36-40)
            4. Application: We have been equipped with these too.

The Day of Battle

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. Rose early (Judges 7:1, Gen 22:3, Ex 24:4, Josh 3:1, 6:12)
            2. God’s winnowing (Judges 7:2-8)
               1. Fearful may Go
               2. Lappers vs. kneelers
               3. Why? To show the power of God made perfect in weakness (2Cor 12:9, Rom 8:31)
            3. Final assurance via a foreigner’s dream (Judges 7:9-14)
            4. The Attack (Judges 7:15-22)

Application: God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
