- But we do have promises:

- A Promise that suffering leads to God’s comfort (2Cor 1:5)
- A Promise that God will never leave us or forsake us (Dt 31:6-8, Heb 13:5-6)
- When hardship comes, entrust yourself to the one who is faithful and will not abandon you.
- David trusts because he understands God’s character and position (Ps 10-11)
- His Character
- His Throne
- Our God judges all (Ps 11:5-6)
- Application for us:
- Pray (Ps 11, Mt 10:14)
- Live righteously (Ps 11:7, Rom 3:22)
- Refuge in the LORD (Ps 11:1, 7:1, 118:8, 144:2)
