Ehud, the deliverer (Judges 3:15-16, 20:16

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. Ehud is an interesting fellow
               1. He is a Benjamite.
               2. He is a Leftie.
               3. An Assassin
            2. I have a message from god for you (Judges 3:18-20)
            3. The king sends everyone out (Judg 3:19-21)
            4. Meanwhile, Eglon’s palace officials are waiting on him (Judg 3:24-25)
            5. Ehud secures the Jordan (Judge 3:26-30)

Pointing to Christ

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. We aren’t to emulate the judges or find inspiration in them.
            2. Human deliverers can never deliver a lasting rest
            3. We need a TRUE Deliverer who can usher in eternal rest for God’s people (Rev 19-20)
