Church Administrative Assistant
Hours: 18-24 hrs/week (Tues, Wed, Thurs, Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm)
Job Sharing is possible
Salary: $20/hour minimum but negotiable based on experience
Benefits: negotiable
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Evaluation: Annual Evaluation in April by Sr. Pastor and Council Chair
Probationary Period: 2 months

Must be a Christian
- Believe and affirm the Trinity.
- Believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human and that he died as a sufficient sacrifice for sin.
- Believe that only through a personal belief in Jesus Christ can one be forgiven of sin and guaranteed the gift of eternal life.
- Agree to uphold Hope in Christ’s Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
- Prefer person to be a member in good standing of a reformed Christian church.

- General Secretarial duties for pastor, council and staff
- emails, weekly bulletins, prayer notices

- Transcription of sermons as needed

- Plan for future and keep up with monthly, quarterly and annually recurring to dos.
- Design Forms as needed
- Archiving documents with CRCNA Home Office

Website Management
- Ability/Willingness to manage (or learn) church’s web presence and digital presence.
- Keep church’s web site and digital presence updated and refresh as needed.
- Improve social media presence.
- Willingness to work with and train others to assist in this area.

Scheduling and Building management
- Scheduling Building usage
- Liaison with Facilities Team for maintenance and repair
- Coordination of Janitors and Volunteers
- Maintain Church Calendar
- Office help during sickness, vacation, etc.

Experienced with the Microsoft Word and Ability to learn Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with a database (such as Access) is a plus.
