- Speech (Titus 2:3, 2:8-9, Luke 7:10, Col 4:6)
- Older women likewise are to be…Not slanderers (2:3)
- Young men are to be of Sound speech (2:8)
- Bondservants/slaves are Not argumentative (2:9)
- Family (Titus 2:4-5, Eph 5:25)
- Love their husbands and children (2:4)
- Submissive to their own husbands (2:5)
- Love your wife (Eph 5:25)
- Work (Titus 2:5, 9, 10)
- how to be Working at home (2:5)
- Submissive to their own masters in everything…(2:9)
- Not pilfering (2:10)
- All of this is sound doctrine (Titus 2:1)
- Sound doctrine is not just about cognitive comprehension, but includes ethical action.
- Self-control isn’t
- Try harder
- Human effort
- Self-control is a gift of Grace (Titus 2:11-14)
- 3 Works of Grace
- Grace brings salvation (Titus 2:11, 14a)
- Grace Forms us to say Yes and No (Titus 2:12, 14b)
- Grace gives us hope (Titus 2:13)
