Voltaire, an 18th-century French philosopher, wrote, “Friendship, gift of heaven, delight of great souls … is the marriage of the soul.” We welcome all who have come to worship as either friends or potential friends, or better still, as brothers and sisters in Christ.

This week we are asked to pray for Bill Brewster, Dan Grover, Jerry and Faye Hop, Victor Johnson, Mark Ireland, Jay and Avis Kaemingk. Suggestions for prayers would be for their spiritual growth, opportunities to see Christ in their everyday life, and anything else that God puts on your mind for them.
Mike Button underwent surgery this past week, which was successful. We pray for a full and complete healing for him.
Lee & Arlene Veenstra will be volunteering with World Renew Disaster Response Services from September 17-October 8 in San Marcos, TX due to flooding in May & October, 2015. Our sermon next Sunday will be “You Will Be A Blessing.” Everyone is encouraged to prepare their heart for the message. The monthly sermon topics with scripture are listed each month in the Heartbeat.
