MISSIONAL MARKER

The congregation of Hope in Christ Church has made the Spirit-filled decision to move forward and become a healthy missional church.

This Week’s Missional Marker:

Centrality of the Word of God: (2Timothy 3:16)

  • We believe that the Bible is the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine and  conduct.
  • Our preaching and teaching in all settings reflects careful preparation, relevance, and creativity.
  • Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to study and apply Biblical truth in ways that lead to a scripturally integrated life.

PRAYERS

Each week we pray for members of our church family. Suggested prayers are for their spiritual growth, opportunities to see Christ in their everyday lives, and anything else that God puts on your mind for them.  This week please pray for:

  • Len & Terry
  • Don & Tena
  • Cathy A,
  • Ken & Elaine
  • Joe & Barb
  • Ken A.

Pray for Whatcom County Government:

  • Pray 1 Timothy 2:1-2 over our government: “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.”
  • Pray for our Church and Government to work together to bring Jesus to the needy and vulnerable of our county.

Pray for CRC’s Request Regarding Disability Concerns:  Tomorrow is World Autism Awareness Day. People with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often are socially isolated because they tend to find social interaction difficult and have challenges with verbal and nonverbal communication. Pray that children and adults with ASD and their families would find a warm, loving welcome in our church.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Blessing Cards: The blessings frame in the foyer has been cleared of all previous blessings cards so we have room to add more of God’s blessings to the frame.  Take a moment to add one of your 10000 reasons to give praise and thanks to God.

Our World Renew Disaster Response Volunteers: Jerry & Faye, Bud & Lorraine, and Herm & Ali will be volunteering with World Renew Disaster Response Services repairing homes in Tarboro, NC from April 7 to 28 due to Hurricane Matthew. Please support them with your prayers while they are on this assignment. Pray for safety, good health, a meaningful experience with opportunities to touch and give hope to hurting people in this relief ministry.

Spring Clean Up: Join your church family on Saturday, April 21 for breakfast and to help spruce up our campus. Bring your gardening gloves, a bucket, yard broom, hoe and/or rake as we plan to pull weeds, spread bark and trim up some plants. A hot breakfast will be served in the foyer from 8-9 am. Building and Maintenance team hopes to have everything done by noon. Contact Doug S if you have any questions, or about donating plants.

Mission Trip to Omak: Two years ago, a group from Hope in Christ took a mission trip through World Renew. Would you like to join us when we go again? We are planning a mission trip to Omak the week of June 10th. Please contact Terry for more information
