MISSIONAL MARKER
The congregation of Hope in Christ Church has made the Spirit-filled decision to move forward and become a healthy missional church.
This Week’s Missional Marker: Life transforming walk with Jesus (John 3:3, 30; Phil. 1:6)
- We teach our people how to be attentive to Christ in all circumstances.
- Our people understand the radical nature of the message and mission of Jesus that continually deconstructs and reconstructs a person’s life.
- Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to use a variety of spiritual growth resources, experiences, and settings.
PRAYERS
Each week we pray for members of our church family. Suggested prayers are for their spiritual growth, opportunities to see Christ in their everyday lives, and anything else that God puts on your mind for them. This week please pray for:
- Cathy A
- Ken A
- Elaine B
- Michael & Jennifer B: Nathan, Ethan
- Philip B
- Del & Pat B

ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Story Cards for Children: Children are invited to take a story card home with them today. The cards correspond to the chapter of The Story that we are covering each week. This Sunday, the card has an illustration of Solomon on the front, and 1 Kings 4:29 on the back. Look for a basket with the cards at the back of the sanctuary every Sunday.
Family Bible Camp: Summer starts in the Pacific Northwest on July 5, which is also the first day of Cascade Family Bible Camp. Come to Warm Beach Camp for a weekend of inspiring worship and dynamic speakers, gorgeous sunsets great fun in the outdoors. Family camp this year is July 5-9. Register online at www.cascadefamilybiblecamp.org
Blessing Cards: The blessings frame in the foyer has been cleared of all previous blessings cards so we have room to add more of God’s blessings to the frame. Take a moment to add one of your 10000 reasons to give praise and thanks to God.
Spring Clean Up: Join your church family on Saturday, April 21 for breakfast and to help spruce up our campus. Bring your gardening gloves, a bucket, yard broom, hoe and/or rake as we plan to pull weeds, spread bark and trim up some plants. A hot breakfast will be served in the foyer from 8-9 am. Building and Maintenance team hopes to have everything done by noon. Contact Doug S if you have any questions, or about donating plants.
Summer Sermons: We have been making our way through The Story; reading, studying, discussing, and listening to sermons on Sundays. When summer comes, it will be time to put The Story books aside until we pick them up again in Autumn. Many of our families travel during the summer months, and we don’t want to leave anyone behind on our journey through The Story. What would you like to learn about over the summer? You have an opportunity to help Pastor Scott choose his summer sermon topics! Please drop a note in the offering basket on Sunday, or send an email to the office with your suggestion of topics, or with questions you would like to have answered. info@hopeinchristchurch.org
Garage Sale for Adoption Fund: Terri R, a friend of the Roberts, is adopting two girls. A garage sale will be held at church on May 18 & 19 from 8am-2pm with the proceeds going towards the adoption.
