- Pray for two more board members and a few new phone volunteers to add to our team.
The Annual GEMS Leadership Conference is concluding today at Redeemer University College, Ontario, Canada. There was a selection of preconference workshops, followed by an evening worship service as the official start of the conference. Pray for those traveling home, for the local conference committee who do so much to prepare for conference and work to keep everything running smoothly, pray for the Redeemer staff, for the worship team, the keynote speakers and workshop leaders. GEMS Girls’ Clubs is celebrating 60 years of ministry this year and preparing the GEMS counselors for the new annual theme: “Be a Blessing.” Darlys reports that over 600 women are attending the conference!
MISSIONAL MARKER
The congregation of Hope in Christ Church has made the Spirit-filled decision to move forward and become a healthy missional church. This Week’s Missional Marker:
Compelling Christian Community (Acts 2:42-47)
- We understand that our love for one another is a powerful testimony to the deity of Jesus.
- We love each other as we are, not as we should be.
- We share life together beyond the worship service.
