- Faye & Jerry H
- Junior J

- Don K
Pray for Christians in Kenya: After a family in southeast Kenya put their faith in Christ this month, Muslims gave them one day to return to Islam or be killed, the father said. The family has since moved from one Christian home to another, and the couple have hidden their children in a place of refuge. “We were given a day to either recant the Christian faith or face the sword, as well as lose all the privileges the Muslims had given to us,” Abdul Abuk-Bakr of Sera village, Garsen, told Morning Star News…We are at crossroads, not knowing what to do – no home, no food, life-threatening environment and children away from us,” he said. “At times we are missing peace. My wife has been having sleepless nights thinking about the children. We really need prayers to remain in the Christian faith and the peace that comes from God.” Nov. 23, 2018, Nairobi, Kenya (Morning Star News)
(CRC) Pray for chaplains: Chaplaincy is a healing, reconciling ministry of God, an expression and extension of God’s activity and mission in the world. The CRC endorses 140 chaplains to embody the grace of Christ in our communities. Join us in praying for and supporting the ministries of chaplains everywhere.
MISSIONAL MARKER
The congregation of Hope in Christ Church has made the Spirit-filled decision to move forward and become a healthy missional church. This week’s Missional Marker is: Global perspective and engagement (Acts 1:8)
- We raise the sights of our members beyond our congregation and community by developing a Biblical worldview and often pray for and reference global matters.
- We have identifiable pathways to support the cause of Christ globally.
- Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to participate in the global dimensions of our ministry.

The series will explore doing justice in a world that belongs to God, a world where so many are both celebrating glimpses of the kingdom and eagerly yearning for it.
