Bible Reading for this Week
Read through Chapter 13 of Believe this week as you ponder the following questions:
- What in this chapter spoke to me the most? Was there something I saw in a new light?
- What in this chapter draws me to live more fully for Christ?
- Is there something that I would want to share from my heart with someone who may not know Jesus as their Savior?
MISSIONAL MARKER
The congregation of Hope in Christ Church has made the Spirit-filled decision to move forward and become a healthy missional church. This Week’s Marker: Intentional Evangelism (Matthew 28:18-20)
- We are burdened for the spiritual condition of those who do not yet know Christ.
- We have identifiable pathways for evangelism to take place in our ministries.
- Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to build spiritual friendships and know how to share their faith as God-‐birthed opportunities arise.
PRAYERS
Each week we pray for members of our church family. Suggested prayers are for their spiritual growth, opportunities to see Christ in their everyday lives, and anything else that God puts on your mind for them. This week please pray for:
- Mitch and Rochelle: Jonathan, Elisha, Peter
- Karen S
- Keith S
- Phil and Jolene: Maggie, Clara, Alice
From CRC World Renew: World Renew staff and volunteers were in Newaygo, Michigan, on Friday to meet with leaders from the Newaygo County Emergency Operations Center (NCEOC) to plan a World Renew Disaster Response Services (DRS) response to flooding there. Local officials issued a disaster declaration for the county earlier in the week. While those who live by the rivers in Newaygo are used to flooding, those who live on the lakes are not. World Renew DRS will assist county residents who live in their homes year-round and do not have flood insurance due to the low flood risk. This spring, warmer weather and quickly melting snow, combined with heavy rain, caused unusual flooding that damaged more than a hundred homes and businesses. World Renew DRS will begin to assign volunteers to help clean out homes during the week of March 25, 2019. This involves removing soaked drywall, flooring, and other materials as well as treating homes for mold. The work in Newaygo County is expected to continue into April. Donate to support this clean-up effort and find out more about World Renew’s Spring Storm response at worldrenew.net/spring-storms-2019
