   1. Literature, Movies, Songs are full of a longing for the idyllic world
   2. In Isa 11 God gives a picture so that the people of God do not lose hope
2. Who is the Perfect King?
   1. Offspring of Jesse (Isa 11:1)
   2. Endowed with the Spirit of the Lord (Isa 11:2-3, 36:5)
   3. Righteous in his Judgments (Isa 11:3-5)
      1. What is Righteousness?
      2. Who are the poor?
      3. Notice the preeminent position of righteousness
   4. He is the Root (Isa 11:10)
   5. Jesus is this King (Mt 1, Lk 3:23-38, Mt 3:16, Jn 1:1, 1Tim 6:15, Rev 17:14)
3. What does Jesus coming Kingdom going to look like? (Isa 11:6-8)
   1. No more predators and prey (Is 2:4, Joel 3:10, Mic 4:3)
   2. Safety
   3. No more Curse (Gen 3:15)
   4. Life will flourish (Is 11:9, Ezek 47)
   5. When is it coming?
