- Do Righteousness (Isa 56:1-2, 8)
- Keep the Sabbath (Isa 56:2, 2Chr 36:20-21, Exo 31:13)
- Don’t do evil (Isa 56:2)
- Hold fast to the covenant (Isa 56:3-6, Mt 15:26-27, Gen 29:34)

Who is blessed?

- Jews thought they alone were blessed (Rom 9:4-5, Phil 3:5-6)
- Nothing to do with genealogy (Isa 56:3, Lev 21:20, Dt 23:2)
- Those with a heart for God (Rom 10:13, Isa 56:4-5, Acts 8:27-39)

Benefits of the blessed life

- A place to belong (Isa 56:5-8)
- Joy is given (Isa 56:7, Mt 13:44, Lk 15, Mt 25:23)
- Accept their worship (Isa 56:7, Rom 12:1, Phl 2:17, 4:18, Heb 13:15)
- The hand of God is extended (Isa 56:5)
- A great name (Isa 56:5, Jn 15:15, Jam 2:23)
