Your Grace is Enough
The Lord’s Supper, which we celebrate today, is a way for the Christian to remember the sacrifice of Christ. If you have not yet believed in Christ as Savior, we invite you to watch and learn. We are glad you are here! If you have questions about Jesus, please see Pastor Scott after the worship service. The bread we use is allergen free and contains no wheat, dairy, nuts or soy. However, it may contain egg.
PRAYERS
Each week we pray for members of our church family. Suggested prayers are for their spiritual growth, opportunities to see Christ in their everyday lives, and anything else that God puts on your mind for them. This week please pray for:
- Doug & Winnie
- Marilyn K
- Wilma K
- Linda M
- Carmen L
- Don & Connie
From CRC’s Resonate Global Mission in South Africa: Members of the Global Prayer Safari, including 12 volunteers from North America, are currently traveling from Johannesburg to Cape Town, praying and meeting with people there. Along with members of the team, ask God to work through the variety of ministries, churches, and programs that the Prayer Safari is visiting.
MISSIONAL MARKER
The congregation of Hope in Christ Church has made the Spirit-filled decision to move forward and become a healthy missional church.
This week’s Missional Marker is: Intentional Evangelism (Matthew 28:18-20)
- We are burdened for the spiritual condition of those who do not yet know Christ.
- We have identifiable pathways for evangelism to take place in our ministries.
- Our people are equipped and growing in their ability to build spiritual friendships and know how to share their faith as God-‐birthed opportunities arise.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Opportunity to Share Your Thoughts: Pastors Ken Koeman and Jon Young will be doing their annual church visit to Hope in Christ Church Council on February 14 at 7 pm. If you have any encouragements or concerns about our church that you would like to give to them, please speak with an elder or deacon about scheduling a time for you to speak that evening.
The Story Cards for Children: Children are invited to take a story card home with them today. The cards correspond to the chapter of The Story that we are covering each week. This Sunday, the card has an illustration of stone tablets on front, and the ten commandments listed on the back. Look for a basket with the cards at the back of the sanctuary every Sunday.
Year-end Giving Statements: The deacons have distributed the year-end giving statements to those who were at church recently, and mailed to others. Please contact a deacon if we missed you, or if there was an error in your statement.
TAG (Talking About God) is Tonight: This is a time when we grow in our ability to communicate our faith. Sometimes we talk about questions of doctrine, or contemporary issues and how they relate to the Word of God and our life. Currently we are talking about the skills everyone can develop in order to learn to communicate their faith in a natural and normal way by exploring the 9 Arts of Spiritual Conversations. Come and join us!
Celebrate With Us: Doug and Winnie would like to invite the church family to a potluck on Sat., Feb. 24, at 5:30 p.m. at Hope ln Christ Church. The occasion is to celebrate Doug’s early retirement from Amtrak. (He also celebrates a special birthday on Feb. 28.) There will be games and songs (relating to the train) to be sung. Families should bring a hot dish and salad. A homemade carrot cake will be provided by Winnie, as well as the beverages (fruit punch, water, coffee, and tea). Tableware will also be provided. Doug and Winnie will also be inviting some of their friends locally, and from Vancouver, B.C.; so be sure to welcome them. No gifts are requested. Come for a fun evening of fellowship and to wish Doug a good retirement from the railroad company, and a happy birthday!
Hymn Sing: Mark your calendar for the Hymn Sing scheduled for February 18 at 6 p.m. Bring your favorite hymn requests and an appetite for pie, which will be served following. If you would like to donate pie, please speak with Terry.
Thank You to our Custodians: Our volunteer custodians give their time and effort to clean our worship center and administration building every week. We appreciate all they do! Let’s help them by remembering that they are not responsible for setting-up or taking down furniture or equipment for ministry events. Please plan accordingly for your meetings and get-togethers.
