This world belongs to God
-
-
-
- God owns it all.
- The Contemporary Testimony and Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 1.
- These doctrine helps one understand many hard verses of Scripture (Josh 6:21)
- Do we believe God owns it all? (Job 1:21, Mt 12:34)
- How does this relate to Joshua 6? (Josh 6:1-2)
- So if God owns it all, what does that make us? STEWARDS.
- We have always been stewards (Gen 2:15, Lk 12:42, 16:1ff, Mt 25:15ff)
- Bad Stewardship brings about reallocation of resource and loss of position.
- Application: Take a few minutes each day and reflect upon a different thing that God has placed under your stewardship.
- Are you viewing it as his?
- Does your language reflect that it is his?
- Are you using it for his purposes and glory? Or are you using it for your purposes and leisure?
- God owns it all.
