We must follow behind God into new lands

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. How does Joshua respond to the spies report (Josh 3:1)
               1. First, by sleeping, Joshua follows the Jewish pattern for life, by resting in the Lord and then working. (Gen 1, Jn 10:10, Mt 11:28)
               2. Second, by rising early, Joshua shows us an eagerness to partner with God in the fulfillment of the Lord’s promises.(Mt 28:19-20)
            2. Why 3 days? (Josh 3:2)
            3. Follow at a distance (Josh 3:3-4, Ex 25:22)

God often leads into impossible situations (Josh 3:14-17)

            2. Did you also notice what they were to do?
            3. Application

We must mark God’s paths for the coming generations so they worship too (Josh 4:1-3)

We follow so others come to revere God (Josh 4:24)
